
NG-CDF IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MOIC&DE TO DRIVE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT THROUGH THE CONSTITUENCY DIGITAL HUBS
Implementation Framework
The programme is being implemented through a collaborative framework between the NG-CDF Board and the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (MoIC&DE). Under this arrangement:
Construction Status
To date, 404 digital hub sites are under various stages of construction across constituencies, with additional proposals expected as constituencies respond to calls for project submissions under the 2025/26 financial year budget cycle.
Objectives of the Verification Visits
The ongoing verification visits are a core component of the NG-CDF Board’s oversight and monitoring framework, designed to ensure compliance with policy guidelines, efficient use of resources, and realization of project objectives. The visits are focused on:
Kuria East Field Visit
As part of the broader verification exercise, a section of the oversight team led by the NG-CDF CEO, Mr. Yusuf Mbuno visited the Mvita Jitume Hub in Mvita Constituency, accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Mvita, Hon. Suud Machele.
In Kuria, the team in the company of Kuria East MP Hon. Kitayama Marwa, conducted detailed project monitoring visits in Kuria East Constituency. The delegation visited key ongoing NG-CDF-funded projects including the Kegonga Huduma Digital Hub Centre, Kegonga Law Courts Project, Kuria East Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Campus, Nyamtiro Boarding Primary School Infrastructure Project, Matare Secondary School Dormitory Project, Wangira Bose Secondary School Tuition Block, Ntimaru East Ward Digital Hub Project, and the Nyamtiro One Stop Border Post, a project intended to facilitate cross-border operations with Tanzanian authorities.
These visits were conducted to validate project status reports, ensure value-for-money, and provide technical support and guidance to local NG-CDF committees on project implementation and documentation.
