𝐊𝐬𝐡𝐬.𝟕𝟐 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭: 𝐄𝐥𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐔𝐩 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭

As leaders across the country continue to emphasize the importance of education in national development, Eldama Ravine Constituency moved to secure the future of thousands of learners by disbursing NG-CDF bursaries worth Kshs. 72 million to support students across the constituency.

The event was led by NG-CDF Board Chairperson Hon. Olago Aluoch, CBS, and hosted by the area Member of Parliament, who is also the Chairperson of the National Assembly Select Committee on NG-CDF, Hon. Musa Sirma,EGH. The activity brought together Members of Parliament from various constituencies, the NG-CDF Board Directors, Hon. Gabriel Kago,Mr. Festus Wangwe, NG-CDF Board CEO, Yusuf Mbuno, EBS, and invited dignitaries, parents, students, and constituents.

Bursary cheques were presented to school heads together with lists of beneficiary students. This approach strengthens transparency and ensures the funds reach the intended learners.

Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Olago Aluoch, CBS, noted the central role education plays in transforming communities and described education as an equalizer in society. He reaffirmed the Fund’s support for learners through bursaries and education infrastructure across constituencies and called for proper management of public funds so that more students continue to benefit from the NG-CDF programme.

The delegation also conducted monitoring visits to several NG-CDF projects across the constituency:

· Kabimoi ICT Hub: The project is nearing completion and is expected to be ready within a week. The facility will support digital access and training for youth and students from nearby polytechnics.

· Patrick Shimoni Primary School and Eldama Ravine Huduma Centre: The team visited these sites to review ongoing services and development within the constituency.

· Groundbreaking of an Administration Block at Eldama Ravine KMTC: The administration block will be funded through the NG-CDF Best Practice Demonstration Programme. This project will provide modern administrative offices to support institutional operations and student service delivery.

The team concluded the visit at the newly constructed NG-CDF Office. This modern facility was developed to bring services closer to the people and strengthen efficient service delivery to all residents of Eldama Ravine.#maendelokwawote
