The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Hon. Aden Duale, EGH, today officially commissioned the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Burnt Forest Campus, located in Ainabkoi Constituency, Uasin Gishu County.
He was accompanied by the NG-CDF Board Chairperson, Hon. John Olago Aluoch, CBS, and the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yusuf Mbuno. Other dignitaries present included His Excellency Dr. Jonathan Bii, EGH, Governor of Uasin Gishu County,the host Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Chepkonga and Hon. CPA Julius Rutto, MP for Kesses Constituency.
The KMTC Burnt Forest Campus stands as a landmark achievement by the Ainabkoi Constituency Project Management Committee (PMC). Notable infrastructural developments under the project include:
• A two-storey academic block housing 16 lecture rooms, 9 offices, 2 libraries, and ablution facilities all currently in use.
• A ramp to improve accessibility.
• Installation of a 45,000-litre septic tank.
• Paving of 1,500m² with cabro blocks.
• Landscaping works to enhance the campus environment.
• A borehole to provide a reliable water supply.
• Six non-storey classrooms and a six-door pit latrine.
This project aims to strengthen healthcare education and service delivery across the region by ensuring that future healthcare professionals are well trained, adequately equipped, and ready to meet the evolving needs of the community.
