NG-CDF Board Conducts Project Inspection in Gem Constituency

NG-CDF Board Directors Hon. Gabriel Kago and Maria Lekoloto, accompanied by NG-CDF Board CEO Yusuf Mbuno, Chief Manager Programmes and Field Services Elizabeth Kitundu, and Nyanza Regional Coordinator Tom Wasike, carried out a routine monitoring and evaluation exercise in Gem Constituency, Siaya County.
As part of the exercise, the team visited Malunga Primary School to assess the renovation of administration block and the construction of a new classroom, both funded under the 2023/2024 financial year. Their inspection then extended to Wagai Police Station where they reviewed the construction of an office block, which includes an armory, holding cells, occurrence book offices, an exhibit room, and juvenile cell, Traffic Offices, DCI Offices and Washrooms.
The team visited Malunga Primary School to check the renovation of the administration block and the construction of a new classroom, both funded in the 2023/2024 financial year. They then went to Wagai Police Station to inspect a new office block, which includes an armory, holding cells, offices for records and investigations, an exhibit room, a juvenile cell, traffic offices, DCI offices, and washrooms.
Recognizing the need for additional facilities, the project will receive extra funding in the 2024/2025 financial year to expand and accommodate all essential offices within the station.
The primary objective of these projects is to enhance education infrastructure and security within the region, ensuring better learning environments for students and improved law enforcement facilities for the local community.
