The newly completed female barracks and student mess will increase the institute’s capacity from 100 to 300 students, providing a better learning and living environment for young people pursuing technical skills training.

Speaking on behalf of the NG-CDF Board, Board Director Hon.Naomi Shiyonga noted that the facilities are not just infrastructure but an investment in Kenya’s future.

> The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, alongside Hon. Oku Kaunya, MP for Teso North Constituency,Board director Hon.Naomi Shiyonga, the Commandant General of the National Youth Service, community leaders, staff, and students.

The day’s program also featured the handover of four title deeds to community members who generously provided land for the institute, an act of patriotism that has ensured the sustainability of the institution’s growth.

Hon. Oku Kaunya commended the NG-CDF Board and the community for their collaboration, noting that the new facilities will empower young people in Teso North and beyond with critical skills to contribute to Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

NG-CDF Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education, technical training, and human capital development projects across constituencies, ensuring that no young Kenyan is left behind.
