
Groundbreaking Ceremony Nguraru Comprehensive School Wundanyi Constituency
The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board continues to uphold exemplary standards in project management as it strengthens grassroots development across the country. The Board remains steadfast in its commitment to improving community livelihoods through socio-economic empowerment initiatives that drive positive, sustainable transformation.
Education remains a cornerstone of national development and a critical pillar in the achievement of the Government’s strategic objectives. Through sustained investments in modern, inclusive, and accessible educational infrastructure, the Fund is fostering social transformation and laying a firm foundation for long-term national growth.
In line with this commitment, the NG-CDF Board Director, Hon. Gabriel Kago, together with the NG-CDF Board Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yusuf Mbuno, EBS, and the Secretariat team, presided over a groundbreaking and foundation stone-laying ceremony for the proposed construction of four (4) classrooms at Nguraru Comprehensive School. The project will accommodate 160 pupils and is expected to enhance student enrolment and improve academic outcomes.
The delegation also officiated the opening of a fully completed six (6)-classroom block at Sungululu Comprehensive School, further strengthening learning infrastructure within Wundanyi Constituency, Taita Taveta County.
These projects are financed under the Best Practice Demonstration Programme (BPDP) for the 2025/2026 Financial Year and are designed to provide a conducive learning environment that will significantly enhance academic performance while improving the overall quality of school infrastructure.
Also in attendance were the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Danson Mwashako, representatives from the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs), students, pupils, and members of the public.
