Our Board Chairperson, Hon. Olago Aluoch, CBS led a groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed construction and equipping of four new classrooms at St. Paul’s Kanyakwar Primary School in Kisumu Central Constituency. The project funded under the NG-CDF Best Practice Demonstration Program (BPDP), complements six additional classrooms and an administration block funded by Kisumu Central NG-CDF. The school currently has only 11 classrooms with a student population of about 1,500, resulting in overcrowded learning spaces and limited capacity to admit new students.

The Board has consistently championed impactful community development through initiatives like the Best Practice Demonstration Programme (BPDP), which showcases model projects designed to uplift educational standards, enhance security, spur socio-economic growth, and improve overall community well-being.

Prior to the groundbreaking ceremony, the team conducted a project monitoring visit at St. Mary Kibuye Girls’ Primary School, where four new classroom also funded under the BPDP are currently under construction. The visit aimed to assess progress and ensure the project remains on track for successful implementation and timely handover.

During the event, Hon. Olago Aluoch was accompanied by the Area MP, Hon. Joshua Oron, NG-CDF Director, Hon. Gabriel Kago, Head of Programs and Field Services, Ms. Elizabeth Kitundu and Head of the Best Practice Demonstration Program, Ms. Carolyne Muli.
