
NG-CDF Board Induction Closing Ceremony
The Chairman of the National Assembly Select Committee on NG-CDF, Hon. Musa Sirma, today presided over the closing ceremony of the Board’s induction workshop at Pride Inn. Hon. Sirma emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among the newly appointed Directors of the NG-CDF Board. He urged them to work together to make a positive impact.
The success of the NG-CDF Fund was a central theme in his speech. He stressed that the Fund’s prosperity is deeply intertwined with the effectiveness and leadership of the Board’s Chairman.Regular capacity building for Fund Account Managers was highlighted as a key to ensuring efficient resource management.
Hon. Sirma conveyed congratulatory messages on behalf of all members of the NASC committee to the newly appointed Directors, acknowledging their role in developing public education infrastructure, enhancing security, preserving the environment, and promoting sports.He called for annual consultative forums between Members of Parliament, the Board, and Fund Account Managers, emphasizing transparency and prudent resource allocation.
He also advocated on Leveraging technology to give citizens access to data for all constituencies, as a way to promote community involvement and ownership.
Finally, Hon. Sirma reminded the Board that leadership was not just a title or position but defined by actions and positive change brought to the community and nation.
In his closing remarks, he called upon the NG-CDF Board to commit to addressing pressing challenges, including insecurity in certain regions and dealing with the numerous lawsuits against the Fund among other challenges. He emphasized the need for collaboration with other Ministries and departments to overcome these challenge
