The Principal Secretary for the State Department of Economic Planning, Dr. Boniface Makokha, accompanied by NG-CDF Board Directors Hon. Gabriel Kago and Mr. Festus Wangwe, together with the NG-CDF Board Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yusuf Mbuno, visited NG-CDF-funded projects in Butula Constituency, Busia County, with the aim of assessing their progress and impact on the local community.
Butula Constituency is among the beneficiaries of the Best Practice Demonstration Programme. During the visit, the delegation inspected several NG-CDF-funded projects, including:
โข KMTC Butula Campus โ Construction of Blocks A, B, and C, including civil works, terrazzo finishing, landscaping, a perimeter wall, and a sentry gate.
โข Butula Sub-County Police Headquarters โ Ongoing development of facilities to strengthen security services.
โข Lugulu A.C. Secondary School โ Construction of a storey administration block and library.
โข Malambisia Chiefโs Office โ Construction of a new chiefโs office.
โข Bukhalalire Boys High School โ Construction of a 200-bed capacity dormitory.
โข Marachi West ACC Office โ Construction and equipping of the ACC office.
